Doctors' Offices
One of the most uninviting places to check out has to be a Doctor's office. First, we normally go there because we have a pain or have problems with some ailment that won't put us inside the best of moods in the first place, but to add insult to injury, you will need to contend with the peculiarities from the doctor's office staff, an incredibly cold group of workers that are more concerned with processing you like an order as opposed to treating that suits you a human-being. On your first visit to a doctor's office, you are bombarded with a substantial quantity of paperwork in triplicate, which I guess we have to thank our lawyer friends for. I visited a brand new doctor recently and it was overwhelmed by the paperwork. There were more waivers of rights than there were anything pertaining to my medical history. I felt like I became more in an attorney's office than the usual doctor's. - Santa Clarita Doctors Office
The decor of doctors' offices are just the same which is pretty plain, with outdated or irrelevant magazines to see, and a whiff of isopropyl alcohol in mid-air. I find patients inside the waiting room have a tendency to keep to themselves , nor like to engage in conversation, maybe since they are embarrassed by their ailment or maybe because they only speak an overseas language. When you try to strike up a conversation with someone, they look at you like they are being interrogated through the FBI or border patrol. About the walls of the office will be the doctor's degrees and certificates that happen to be intended to impress you. Some doctors tend to overdue it though as they frame everything from their college education to their safety patrol or bar mitzvah certificates.
I guess what irritates me essentially the most though is making an appointment with a doctor that they or she rarely keeps. If I've got an appointment, medical you aren't, I tend to arrive a couple of minutes early as I do not like to be late. But doctors' actually do not care about your time, even when you take time off from try to visit them. I've a real problem with this when i wouldn't treat my customers using this method. If the doctor is late, my impatience slowly brews until I can't take it anymore and storm outside (I've done this on many occasion), and frankly, I wish more people would do that. The office staff then endeavors to threaten you that they can still bill you for your appointment, which is actually a veiled threat. I simply point out the time for them, and threaten to bill them in my lost time. I just can't understand why after practicing medicine for so long, they can't come up with a simple schedule and make it. Everybody else does. If you ask me, its a sign of disrespect.
